Isn’t it funny how social media has made us more aware of the national day for, well, pretty much anything your little heart desires? Today, for example is the national day of relaxation. This is a day Gardenology sure can relate to, so take the day off from technology (post reading this) and let’s unwind and do absolutely nothing. And don’t limit yourself to August 15th- we opt to do a ‘day of relaxation’ once a week.
TAKE A NAP
One of the most common expressions we hear from our clients is ‘Look at that bed, I just want to get right in!” There’s definitely been times when our team has considered just that. But how could you not with the abundance of layers and pillows. So dress up your bed and take a breather from the day... and let the pillows do the talking.
TAKE A BATH
We can’t think of a more relaxing way to spend your day than soaking in a warm, scented bath. Take a dip with a batch of fragrant bath salts. Sit back, breathe deep, and unwind.
CURL UP AND READ A BOOK
Find a good corner and lounge around with a good book. Featured below is our Fletcher Sectional with vintage batik pillows to set the mood. To calm yourself, we suggest Kent Nerburn's 'Simple Truths', a collection of thoughts and reflections on many of the aspects of our daily lives that most of us take for granted.
HAVE YOUR CAKE AND TEA, TOO
End your day of relaxation with a warm cup of tea and a side of cookies or cake. Featured below is our Lastra cake plate, creamer and sugar set by Vietri.
Now, lose the phone/computer/tablet and get relaxin!
